For those of you who doubt him, you can stick it. I saw a blow up doll labeled "Max Hall's Mom" with which obscene acts were being simulated in the Utah section RIGHT NEXT TO THE VISITOR's SECTION where Max's mother was sitting. How would you feel if it was your mom watching a bunch of drunk college morons simulate disgusting behavior with a blow up doll they had labeled to represent her?
I don't blame Max. He was right to call them out, even if he painted with a broader than necessary brush.
Me personally-- I've had a bunch of fans try to trip me and push me as I walked up and down the stairs. I had a guy steal a sign I had and throw it. I've been pelted with garbage and with little mini megaphones they gave out one year. I've had lots of F' you BYU, F' Mormons stuff.
But I haven't been back since 2008. The nastiness was out of control. I had my seven year old son with me at that game, and he was crying because we had performed so badly and we were losing. Ute fans deliberately pointed at him and mocked him for his tears on our way out of the stadium, one even tried to get in his face.
I have never been back. Not worth it. So I guess the bad guys win? IDK.
