If you want to argue that it's a good system, cool. That it's God's preferred system? Cool. Those are arguments that seem totally fair to me.
It's very clearly not a "gender blind" system — it's a system in which women play a role and men play a different role, and the men's role is imbued with more authority and power than the women's role; the men have authority over the women, but not the other way around. To talk about it fairly, you have to be willing to admit that that's true.
Then if you want to just argue that that's a good system based on the eternal will of God, I'm down with that. I won't purport to know what God wants.
