Aesthetically, the stadium itself isn’t much to look at.
Some of the marketing stuff is rather cheesy and uninspiring. Much of the band’s playlist seems antiquated, although there are some nice exceptions.
My bigger gripes have to do with the bookend age groups. I’ve not experienced the geriatric shushes personally, but being told to sit or quiet down would be obnoxious. People bringing really little kids and giving them the run of their section is another story. This happens a lot. Last family we sat by took the cake. Totally oblivious and it ruined an already awful contest. Same thing, different family at the restaurant post game. I’m almost afraid of a good deal on tickets at LES, as there’s a good chance I’ll be sharing my seats with 2/5 of the Lehi 111th ward Sun Beams and their detached Mom and Dad.
When it’s a good game against a good team, and I’m surrounded by people who are there to appreciate that sort of thing, Lavell Edwards Stadium takes a backseat to nowhere. I like the clean, football-centric atmosphere minus the alcohol, and our setting is second to none.
