I am saying city councils should not allow it. And Developers would still keep building out Vineyard regardless. That is an empty threat from developers. They don’t make money if they aren’t building. They will Weep and wail and Ganesh their teeth to prevent a city from forcing them to act in a responsible way, but in the end they will suck it up and build anyway, following the regulations.
The problem is that most of the time the city council is just as corrupt and greedy as the developers... often even working for them...
I have 0 fear that a developer will cancel a build simply because they are required to provide a realistically adequate amount of parking. That is a 100% empty threat.
