They absolutely are. I dont care about participation trophies for beating Tulane or Wyoming. Now that BYU is trying to
be a big boy program i hope people can see that our old conference titles were for beating up the little sisters of the poor. I have zero interest in following a G5 team.
Playing name brand schools and getting them to come to provo (See UW and USC THIS YEAR) and @Tenn matters far more to me than having a shot to play one of those blue bloods for beating Houston and Rice.
I dont expect undefeated (its happened one time in BYU history, almost 2) but I would sure as heck be sad if the mindset shifts from we are trying to build a brand to "our brand is being a big fish in a small meaningless pond"
