The arrogance, the myopic utopia view of our current situation is simply nauseating
If I was thinned skinned, I would have given up on this argument a long time ago.... I've been argued with and mocked about my opinion a fair amount... if thinned skinned was the issue, I wouldn't still be talking about it.
I don't live in Utah anymore... It's gotten pretty easy to ignore BYU and not even invest in watching them. The programs current state just... it's just not fun or entertaining anymore. all of my BYU shirts and Jerseys over the weekend, I've kept a few hats. My son is heading off to Texas Tech where I'll go to a few games there... I still hope that we'll see a great run by BYU... but really believe it just won't ever happen.
I disagree with the direction of the program... I disagree with just playing P5's with nothing to gain as being entertaining... At every stage of football, players play for a championship at different levels, district level, conference level, city level, league level... national level bowl level. BYU gets to maybe achieve 1 of those while the vast majority of college football gets to challenge for multiple levels of championships of various degrees (Division, Conference, Bowl, National, etc).
I essentially see BYU in noman's land. So yeah, I'm ok with distancing from BYU fans at this point.... but it's not for reasons of being thinned skinned or I wouldn't be arguing my position anymore.

Playing for a meaningless conf title and the chance to play a P5 team at the end of the year is better than playing 4+
