The only "crap" are the teams in the G5. Win or lose, I'd rather witness games
with P5 teams on a regular basis at LES than bother to get a constant diet of Wichita State clones hoping that it will let us sneak in the back door to a big bowl now and then.
And if the stars align and we go to a big bowl, where's the talent to compete? We'd be lucky to get any 3* much less some 4* necessary to compete. Any great talent, even those with a BYU bias, would find it hard to go to a non-P5 conference and play tams nobody can remember.
You won't get more competitive against P5 teams like the Sick Sisters of the East.
We have a difference of opinion. You enjoy your high school trophies; I'll take regularly playing the big boys, hoping it helps us get better to possibly reach parity someday.
