I know one couple who is considering it after having 4 kids - and every single one of those kids was very, very hard on the mother. To the point that dad had to step in and take over sometimes. Another kid would likely create dysfunction in their family.

Which is a pretty different scenario than say, someone who has 2 kids and would feel a little inconvenienced at having another.
