I did it. I considered the church's stance momentarily and then did

what I felt was right and my wife and I agreed upon.

I can't say my approach is right but the church has an influence in my life but it's not a dictatorial one as it may be for others.

Not sure that helps as I'm not someone who is going to be climbing the leadership ranks of the church anytime soon and others may be higher on the ladder and have better recommendations. Mine's just what I did.
