Perhaps this is true. But it gets no mention in media write-ups that have circulated since that year...
The Athletic, Mercury News, John Canzano’s stuff, the Utezone interviews, etc. None of those long form retellings even hint at your claims. You’ve also got BYU’s AD on the record saying there was no contact. So don’t be surprised that your “I know this happened” claims get laughed at. The public evidence just doesn’t support it.
