You didn't answer my question. Anyways, if you think anything the church
actively manages is purely for profit (with exception of holdings and other equities), then I would say you are confused.
I have no real position in this regard, but we are missing the point of the OP and the mall that was brought up--no money spent of FB due to world-wide priorities. The church took a calculated risk funding and overseeing the 'renewal' of the downtown area, it did it for both profit and other interests. The church carefully reviews and select where it will spend its money. I'd say 'What about the 5 Billion Mall?' is a valid question given the topic.
PS I think the football team could use more funding, not sure it should where it should come from.
