but I've witnessed more and more of the "parenting" you described where they simply ignore the kid and let them act up in public as if its just to hard o to do anything about it or else as if they simply don't care about everyone else.

When I was a kid this was very rare because back then you were more likely to see a parent whip their kid publicly to get them to behave than anything else, for you SJW's I'm not saying that was the best approach just that it was how things were, but now we seem to have hit the other extreme where it's more a "do nothing" and hope it stops eventually approach which is not very considerate of everyone else.
