The trends in nutritional health suggest otherwise.
Instead of facilitating a reduction in heart problems, obesity, and diabetes, all of these have exacerbated. Yes, sugar is a primary culprit, and you can point to undisciplined eating all you want, but if you don't ask/answer why people eat so much sugar and food, you don't have much. Turns out carbs don't sate well, and so high carb diets leave you hungry and snacking.
