We need laws to discourage SFH as rentals. Individuals who buy multiple SFHs
with the intent to rent are destructive to society. My ward has lots of young married couples unable to afford starter homes, and they live in cramped, bad rental housing. Meanwhile the boomers scoop up the entry level houses and rent them out.

If you are boomer or Gen X who wants an ROI, invest your money in an index fund; you’ll get a great return and do something that’s actually good for the country.

There’s something disgusting about the mildly wealthy stealing the one option the young and working class have to build wealth. Yes we need to build more housing and do away with Nimby, but the recent trend of SFHs is large, and good for the few while being bad for the many. It’s the type of thing that destabilizes society and leads to Bernie Sanders followers. Flame away.
