Right now property taxes are paying for a most of it including from rentals that may or may not have kids. There are always repercussions. I can tell you the current housing boom in Utah is not because of investors. Investors were buying like crazy in 2009 to 2013 when prices were free falling and they helped stabilize things. Now many investors are selling and moving to multi family or other regions. The market does a pretty good job when govt stays out of it.
