In a different field, that sounds like seasonal tax preparer franchises

I belong to some FB groups for tax preparers and am shocked by some of the questions practitioners ask. One person responded to a question with this answer: "are you sure you should be charging money for your work with this level of understanding?"

I've seen some good work and some poor work. I've concluded it is a roll of the dice as to the competency you may get from a seasonal franchise.

my opinion: mid-levels who have direct supervision by an MD do fine. mid-levels who have no supervision are often lost
