Thanks. You’ll have to forgive me if I get to defensive, but it is frustrating
to constantly defend yourself in your career to your colleagues and patients when these discussions come up. It’s absurd to say we get less training than hair dressers as Mike claims above.

I didn’t mean to imply that you personally would decline a referral and I do think it’s admirable you reach out and offer additional training. I find it odd that no one takes you up on it. Maybe there is a shift in mentality. I think some of it comes from Medical groups being so top heavy with admin that the goal is always to get more for less with every provider. I think that’s where the burn out comes from. Many feel like what good does it do to better myself, there’s nothing in it for me. There’s no financial upward mobility for most providers in large medical systems (unless you join the admin army)

My wording was perhaps not good when I insinuate that you personally are behaving in a condescending manner. I was trying to speak to the doctors as a whole on here. Thanks for all you do.
