Is it possible this is a Colin Kaepernick situation? I don't know.
Kaepernick's reported motivation to make up his victim story was because he was feeling insecure about his professional career prospects. In today's world, being a victim gives a level of protection.
Same with Jussie Smollett.
Was Simone trying to extend her time on the stage through this olympics? Was that part of her motivation to tell her abuse story? That has been the story line. Did that influence the USOC's decisions? Did that influence judges?
Sad that everything has to cause suspicion these days.
