Stop trying to insert your politics and make it something it is not. She is overcoming a lot, including announcing that she was one of Nassar’s victims. She is human and will be triggered by things, including being back on the stage for the first time. She has her team’s support and is giving someone else, who trained incredibly hard, a chance to compete. It is incredibly selfless, as she knew she is not mentally ready to be 100% or safe. She deserves and earned the right to say that she is suffering from personal issues, and needs to withdraw.
