Obviously a lot of people here think Spudaho State and 1 million people...

...are going to be considered more relevant than San Diego and 25 million people in Southern California, 6 million in San Diego county.

Please take a business class people.

Academic Rank matters too
Facilities matter.
Population matters.
Basketball programs and arenas matter.
Because of that, SDSU matters and Boise does not.

One more time, footprint still defines population interest. It doesn't matter how games are viewed (tv, live stream, ppv event locations) if the interst is 25% of nothing compared to 10% of something 6 x larger.
