In fairness that's as much for to BYU's independence as it is on-field results

I get that the on-field results for BYU haven't been great for the last decade, but even in the one season they were (2020) there was never a real chance at a major bowl. And in 2021 if BYU has another great season? We'll end up playing a CUSA opponent in some mediocre bowl anyway.

One of my biggest issues with Independence (and I have many) - on-field performance has little to me bearing on end-of-season opportunity and recognition
