BYU, Notre Dame, and other national universities have national footprints. When 80% of your graduates reside in a 400 mile radius of campus, you are a commuter school. Utah is just such a school. BYU, Notre Dame, Harvard, Stanford, USC, Texas are broad draws far beyond their geography and networks measure bational value (if any), regional value as well as local value. BYU has high metrics in all three categories. Boise does not.
