The schedules really just eased up and the superstar players that Crowton brought in became upperclassmen. There are a ton of all-timers in the pipeline Bronco inherited. Don't get me wrong, he does deserve credit for creating a team identity and adding discipline. The recruiting element made the rest a lot easier. There's a reason why his 2nd season was his best team. Crowton went all-in on developing young players and Bronco reaped the rewards of that.
Bronco was the right guy for the job from 2005-09. There aren't many who could have done it better. The 2011 season doesn't belong in the same tier as 2006-09.
