Crowton was put on the hot seat by the AD and then issued an ultimatum to assistants to bring in immediate talent at any cost. This is what caused the rape scandal... they prioritized talent over fit and didn't vet players for the hc as well. This is why bronco was almost overboard about only recruiting byu type players after that.
