It's funny how our society treats women. On one hand, they are supposed to be treated equal. On the other hand, a man hits a woman who was super obnoxious and he is a horrible person.
Rewatch the video. The woman is SHOVING AND SLAPPING Mixon several times before he retaliates. If this had been another man, it would have absolutely been a non story. If the roles were reversed a man had been shoving a slapping a woman and she cold cocked him, she would have been a hero. Yet Mixon is a horrible person for this? Drunk people (men and women), need to learn to control themselves or there will be consequences.
I know the counter argument, he is stronger than she is. Or, would you be okay if he hit a kid like that? Well, to the second point, no one pretends that children and adults are equal. A 7 year old can hit a teacher but a teacher can't hit the 7 year old. When it comes to the strength issue that is true, but I doubt the outcry would have been the same if Joe Mixon a tough football player had cold cocked a 140 pound man who was 5'5''. Long story short, I never thought what he did was that bad.
