We all have the freedom of speech. BUT, we have never been free from the private consequences of our speech.
The law is not punishing Gundy.
His team is punishing him. He very stupidly used the most disgustingly racist word in the English lexicon. That’s no exaggeration. AND He said it as a D1 football coach?! A football coach! His #1 recruiting target is black kids. Sorry, I’d have canned him too. That hurts. There just can’t be any tolerance for that. You loose your football job. We want those kids.
He’ll get another job. He’s not in jail.
