I don’t believe he left the because he is being called a racist. I don’t believe
he is a racist.
He left because he used bad judgement in reading something off of a players IPad without thinking first about the situation. Apparently this slur pertained to Black players.
I’m willing to bet there were black players in the room when he read it. I’m betting they weren’t happy hearing it, but, I’m sure it wasn’t the first time. This is the state of Oklahoma.
Grundy had to be embarrassed when the story came out, resigned to put the distraction toned and took the fall for the player who should have been punished somehow.
Hopefully he won’t need to travel too far for his next job.
