This post is lacking some insight and intellectual honesty..
...not all religious schools are created equal. comparing a religious school like BYU that has an honor code to schools that are "connected" to religions isn't apples to apples.

You're not going to get kicked out of Creighton or Gonzaga for drinking coffee or beer. You're also not going to get banned from the testing center for having a 5 o'clock shadow or hair touching your collar at Creighton or Gonzaga.

Are students there even required to take religious courses like they are at BYU? Yes they are Jesuit schools and you're correct in saying that religion isn't a big factor at those schools, however religion is a big factor at BYU and non-LDS athletes don't get a free pass any more than the LDS athletes.

As for the Coach Rose comparison, i don't see why people need to do that. He was a great coach for BYU and had some great years where there were a lot of great LDS players available, many with NBA talent. Towards the end of his time at BYU however that same level of talent wasn't there and he started giving valuable scholarships away to low level or non-D-1 players like Kolby Lee, Braiden Shaw, Nate Hansen, Hunter Erickson, Rylen Bergesen, Kajon Brown, etc.

As a result once the seniors from that 2019-20 team graduated there was no next level of talent on the roster to maintain that success. It's the biggest reason why we're In the predicament we are today. There was no future talent In the pipeline and at BYU with our main recruiting base being LDS and 70% or more of those guys serving 2 yr missions then needing time after to shake off mission rust, it takes a longer time to refill the cupboards.
