Relax. The OP is about two other schools, and NCAA tournament success, which
is a long term issue, which predates coach Pope, thus warranting the answer that I gave.
You are right. As of now, things seem to be trending a different direction, for the time being. If so, the last remaining obstacle is to actualize the goals of having highly talented players and make the final four. Let’s hope NIL isn’t too much of a negative to overcome, combined with the real possibility of simply being outdone across the board by every program in the Big 12. Not because BYU won’t be trying, but because the Big 12 will just be that good.
