In our case, I think we proved Kaukbrenner changes quite a bit.
He was EASILY the biggest personnel factor as to why Creighton won. And Kaluma the second-biggest factor. That's right, the guy who was clearly the best player on the court in the game they played against us.
For all the hype & fanfare Scheiermann came in with, honestly — as an overall player — I'm pretty sure I WOULDN'T swap him with SJ. And yet Scheiermann's still a pretty solid role player for them. Nembhard & Alexander are clearly better though.
Even without Kaukbrenner we still beat a pretty dang talented Creighton squad that day in Vegas — LET'S NOT FORGET. And we did it without SJ even.
