daughter takes it to practice and activities so she can call us, and the kids use it to text with cousins and grandparents. Others use it, primarily at home. Anyone could use it, so they all know it's not private, but does help with communication when we need it.

My kids watch others get so buried in their phones that they understand why they don't get one, and they actually agree it's best to wait.
