Wyoming, UNLV, Colorado State, even Indiana, Rutgers and Vanderbilt have not been remotely as close. In fact none of those teams are or have been favorites to win their conference or been preseason ranked. While I agree that Utah has not finished in the top 10 to finish the season, they have been picked numerous times to make the playoff by the likes of Phil Steele, Lee Corso, etc. To say that UNLV has as good of shot as Utah is absolutely not true. Yes Cincy had to go undefeated in a bad conference two years in a row and the stars had to align for them to get in. Credit to them by all means! But had Washington Oregon USC or Utah had one loss that season they may not have gotten in.
