and even though we don't have documented proof of it there were a lot of people that turned Jim in for different things he could have been kicked out for. But people with the power to do it, even ones that could have gone over Lavell's head didn't do it, they ignored it until after he was done.

Bottom line is I think BYU should have given him an honorary degree and put him in the BYU HOF a long time ago. I agree with having standards for being inducted and they should be stuck to the vast majority of the time, but there are always exceptions, and Jimmy Mac should have been one of those exceptions.
