I've never heard of athletes getting into a HoF due to their academics.
I could be wrong I don't know... I've just never heard of it.
You're entitled to your blue-goggled opinion, but athletes get into Halls of Fame because of what they do on the field, not because of what they do in the classroom. BYU is no different, and why should they be? It's a Hall of Fame that displays athletic achievements. There are mentions of academics here and there, but we both know that's not why they're there... c'mon.
BYU chose to make the rule that they had to graduate, and that's fine. I think it's silly, though, considering that they got into the HoF because of their athletic achievements.
