Actually not.

McMahon toed the line better than people want to believe according to LaVell. Jim knew what he wanted and did not do anything to jeopardize that. There was never a cover up to keep him playing and he was never used by BYU any more than any player. Contrary to popular belief, having a beer as a non-member will not get you kicked out of BYU.
