Why would they be stuck? This is myth. This is used to try to defend BYU.
Had Texas and Oklahoma left, BYU would have left and ended up......

I think BYU thought they were more valuable than they were, they didn't see so many teams leaving P5 conferences, Big 12 wanting TCU, and thought they were the only team out there. They demanded things, like BYUtv, overplayed their hand, and were left with nothing.
Big time mistake.
