He had a lot of frustrations about BYU that has caused him to sour on the program:
Losing to Utah for half a decade in a row, including getting destroyed in a game he had paid a lot of money to go see.
Getting embarrassed on the big stage against TCU at home, when he had brought a friend who had never seen BYU play, and that friend walked away thinking BYU was unprepared and small-time.
Going for two while down one against BSU, while the defense had not yet given up a point. He was furious at Bronco's logic for that one.
Icing the kicker twice on an extra point. He thought that was the stupidest decision he had ever seen.
Not having players disciplined enough to avoid an all-out brawl, while being a coach which applauds himself for disciplined players
Riley Nelson continuing to play with a broken back
He thinks Bronco is one of the most self-righteous people he knows of, rightly or wrongly, and can't stand the guy
Renewing his season tickets in a worse location a few years ago for no apparent reason, before the new student section had even moved, after he had built up those better seats over time.
