Interesting to read your post. It's hard to tell if BYU's program really is in decline or others are just getting better. I will admit, in regards to your father's feeling, that many of the die hard BYU fans I know are not happy. My next door neighbor here in Bountiful, who has been a (seriously die hard) season ticket holder since 1981, opted out of his tickets this year. Totally surprised me. It has been a real family thing for him as he has 8 tickets and is always taking a ton of people to the games. Apparently he has not given up on his tickets and BYU allows him the option to opt out just this year and pick them up again next year if he wants but the fact he gave them up this year really blew me away. I never saw him doing that.
