I think differing expectations is the problem though. Fans who love Bronco
have already conceded that BYU cannot be a top 10 program so mediocrity (however it is defined) is okay as long as the program is clean. Another type of fan believes BYU can be a top 10 program and doesn't see Bronco as the answer. I suppose many are in the middle who think BYU has underachieved, even against better competition, and think Bronco is replaceable.
