Both had similar win/loss% but one difference is Bronco was more successful initially and then slumped off once the previous coaches recruits left the program. By contrast Lavell's success grew once the previous coache's players were gone and he was using his own players. After 10 yrs Lavell and BYU were just hitting their peak and getting ready for unheard of success. Bronco has schlumped and appears to be no where close to being ready to contend for a national championship.
As for scandals, there have been a number of player suspensions at the beginning of last season and there are more to come due to the embarrassing post bowl game brawl. Are we starting to see signs the wheels are beginning to fall off?
