My apologies, I asked because reading between the lines is at times difficult
and you seemed so adamant in his defense, that I wasn't sure if you were being sarcastic...
anyway, you are right to say, it doesn't jive... that is part of the frustration... he has some good characteristics...
for me the problem is, this was not an outlier comment.... it was yet another odd and unnecessary thing to say, to add to his mounting odd and unnecessary comments/actions that damage his, the team's, and the school's credibility...
I'm at the point where there has been too many of these non-jivers, and I don't trust that he will say and do the right thing for BYU down the road....
he is a PR liability and not good enough of a head coach to keep despite his PR flaws... imo...
btw... I think he would be a fantastic defensive assistant coach where he was given a very short leash with the media
