Isn't it obvious?
He's been better h2h (and not just a little bit better, we're talking he's dominated Bronco). He's gotten more of his players drafted. He's won a BCS bowl and has more impressive wins during the same time. After a little struggle getting started in the Pac12 he got Utah to 9 wins and a top 25 finish despite playing a top 40 strength of schedule last season.
