Some of the rape victims who are speaking to the media cite their own naivete as grounds for amnesty and forgiveness, without acknowledging that the very rules they signed on to would have helped avoid a terrible situation. I presume they are not deliberately being dishonest about this, but when kids are naive and inexperienced you do what you can to help them protect themselves. If the specific rules are set up solely to provide additional grounds to punish people, then yeah, let's call them Pharisaical. But when rules are born of wise experience because a community has learned these are proven ways to prevent bigger issues, the Pharisee/Sadducee label seems a bit harsh.
