I never had a run in with the honor code office myself, but dealt with the culture it created and am put off by the way things are ran and the effect it has on students. I also had to have a beard card one semester and found their petty behavior regarding it and issuing one childish and think attitudes and policies there need to change. I don't think you have to have a personal run-in experience with them to discuss ways you think it can be improved.
