I have seen such discussions play out exactly that way on CB over the years.
I can say that having the benefit of being on the older end of CB users, that the tattletale response is something that has become more common as the best answer in the last 20-30 years, and it was much less acceptable prior.
From my seat, I think part of that is generational, and of course it has always existed, but there has been a change in the "tattletale on sin" attitude, and I don't think it has been a positive one for the church in general, and the Genesis is the HC.
