I hope so. Problem is that Detmer's scheme demands some real talent
at the OL, WR, RB, QB positions. A really good TE is also helpful.
We have a QB that will work because he can throw the deep ball well. RB is questionable at this point (Good young talent, but unproven. JW would have worked). OL is also questionable. WR is doubtful (we need someone like Collie or Watkins). TE is non-existent.
We'd be better with a spread offense. There's a reason it is so common in college. Only elite teams can run a pro style.
