It's not clearly Detmer's scheme IMO. His passing numbers this year were pretty comparable to his Soph year (his only full year playing) and his receivers were better in every other year compared to this year. Also, Taysom only played against 3 sub .500 P5 teams in '14 and '15 combined compared to 6 P5 teams with 2 of those being top 25 teams.

I'm not saying our offense this year was stellar but I saw enough to be encouraged for the future. Changing to a different scheme without the appropriate personnel was going to come with growing pains. I was especially happy with the fewer 3 and out drives we had this year.
