He had a Sr QB, Sr RB and an improved OL coming back this year
granted, OL got hit with injuries again.
That said, Taysom's struggles this year had more to do with Detmer than with Taysom. Sr. QB's don't have terrible passing seasons like this without serious injuries. He was improving under Anae and Anae's schemes are built to get the most out of the player personnel we had. That's why the TE was so prolific when we had NFL TE's... and why he stopped using them in later years.
It's why Christian Stewart was able to have a decent year all things considered when Taysom went down in '14.
Detmer wants to force a square peg in a round hole.
Funny how when he went up tempo and read option the offense actually moved the ball with Taysom isn't it? At least Detmer wasn't stubborn enough to give that a shot from time to time...
