Tipping is expected.
If you refuse to tip then you should also refuse to go to sit-down restaurants. And if you're smart you refuse to go to the same one twice, otherwise you've eaten quite a bit of waiter/waitress saliva with your food (if not worse).

What's the point of tipping? Paying above cost for good service, right?

I throw change in there sometimes, but that's about it

Set out a tip jar, see if anybody bites

Not the jar, the line on the check/receipt for tip.

The point of tipping is so businesses can be cheapskates, pay their employees dirt and rely on customers to be HR.

Only person receiving a handout is you, buddy. You receive service and don't pay for it. Comes off cheap and broke.

It's not a handout.

I hope the waiter/waitress spits in your food when you go out to eat. You can go ahead and try and argue why it's ok..

Sure, it's optional. But it does say bad things about you if you don't.
BengalCougar
6/27/17 6:40pm
Its not optional if you receive decent service. That's why they are paid WAY BELOW minimum wage:
Finngirl

How is it not optional?
