I guess my thing
was if I didn't want to shave one day or for a week I could. If I wanted to not wear socks (there used to be a rule) I could. If I wanted girls to come to my dorm, I could.
In a lot of ways the HC seemed to me that BYU had done with the doctrines of the gospel the same things the pharisees had done with the law of Moses. I know it isn't the greatest analogy and things are better now than when I was looking at school, but it was my thought.
